2. January is a big transfer month.  Transferees like to look during the holidays.
3. In town buyers usually have more time to look during the holidays.
4. Winter prospects are generally more serious buyers.
5. You may have fewer actual showings, but more qualified and motivated prospects.
6. You may receive more money for your home because you have less competition.
7. You may restrict showings during parties and family events.  And buyers will understand!
8. You don't have to have a real estate sign in your yard.
9. You don't have to have an open house unless you desire.
10. You'll have better luck negotiating a delayed closing or extended occupancy if necessary.

And I personally have a #11... I'm slower in these months, and can devote more attention to you and your home!!!

Say what?! Vinegar works as a wood stain when you add a metal object in the mix and let it sit in a glass container for a week. A handful of pennies will produce a beautiful pale Caribbean blue stain. A wad of steel wool will give you a rich reddish hue. A combination of tea and a metal object in vinegar will produce a black stain.

Never again forget your room's paint color choice! On the inside of your light switch or outlet cover, using a permanent marker, just write the paint brand, color name, swatch number on a piece of painter's tape for quick reference.
